The bawku Divisional Police Command in the Upper East Region in statement confirmed of arresting two men suspected in an armed robbery that took place at Binaba , suburb of Zebilla on 16th March,2021.
The suspects are, Azure Aziz, a 25 year old farmer who is a former employee of the victim and Maxine Anazobsie Isaac alias “Azeeman” . Azure Aziz is believed to led the armed robbery operation in which they took away GHC40,000, a pair of shoes, five packages of cigarrete on gun point at the resident of the 51 year old man.
Aziz was arrested in his house at Kusanaba in which items used in the robbery were retrieved. While Maxine was also arrested in his hide out in the same community with items of the victims in his possession .
The police Assures residents of the Upper East Region that strategic security measures will be taken as instructed by the Upper East Regional Police Commander to arrest, prevent crime and prosecute offenders .
Meanwhile the victim is in stable condition and the two suspects are in police custody for further investigations
The police therefore ask the general public the share any information they have about to suspects to enable police uncover their criminal activities.
