A Guinean lady who got away from the Northern Ghana where she was being isolated over COVID-19 has been found in the country’s capital, Accra.
The deputy Health Minister, Alexander Abban, said the patient was seen on Saturday in Accra and was subsequently arrested.
She was among the 10 foreign nationals who tested positive of the COVID-19 in the Northern Region.
The outsiders were captured days after President the President of the republic of Ghana ordered for the closure of Ghana’s Borders as a major aspect of measures to contain the spread of the COVID-19 illness which has so far guaranteed five lives.
Though the Deputy Health Minister could not give full details of the arrest, many Ghanaians are still questioning how the escapee could have made the 640km journey following a partial lockdown in some routes leading to Accra.
The sudden disappearance of the COVID-19 patient sparked fears in the Northern Region capital.
