Coronavirus: Juventus’ Daniele Rugani tests positive for COVID-19

Juventus have confirmed that defender Daniele Rugani has tested positive for Coronavirus.

The 25-year-old Rugani is the first player from Serie A, the top soccer league in Italy, to be diagnosed with coronavirus which has so far struck over 12,000 Italians, killing 827 people.

Juventus released a statement confirming the news, which read: “Juventus Football Club is currently activating all the procedures of isolation planned by the regulations, including a check on all those who had contact with him.”

Italy keeps on bringing uncommon measures to eliminate the spread of the infection. The nation has formally suspended a dominant part of games, including Serie A matches, through April 3.
