The Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) has captured one Awuah Forson, 46, and another, for purportedly duping around 30 youngsters on the appearance of getting for them situations in the assistance.
It is accounted for that Forson, along with one Ekow Harkman, 71, figured out how to cheat around 30 individuals to the tune of GH¢250,000.00 with the guarantee of enlistment into the Ghana Immigration Service.
Commissioner of Immigration (ACI) James Hayford Boadi, who is Officer-in-Charge of Operations at the Tema Regional Command, in a meeting with the Ghana News Agency at Tema, advised occupation searchers of exercises of enrollment tricks.
He said “this isn’t the first run through such a capture has been made and unquestionably it won’t be the last,” and cautioned youngsters looking for work to be watchful.
ACI Boadi said GIS doesn’t rent its enlistment cycle to either people or gatherings of people; “each enrollment practice is finished by the GIS alone under the oversight of the Ministry of the Interior”.
He exhorted the individuals who need to join the immigration service to experience the legitimate cycle and not to pay cash to anyone, on the grounds that, eventually, they would not be enlisted and they would likewise lose their cash.
Deputy Superintendent of Immigration (DSI) Mercy Budu, who is the GIS Tema Regional Public Relations Officer, said a casualty, name retained, paid about GH¢10,000.00 to the suspect.
She said the casualty a short time later went to the Immigration Training Academy at Assin Fosu to see if the said Forson was really an employee of the Ghana Immigration service.
Ms. Budu said the casualty found that there was nobody by that name and realized that she had been swindled, her response to the reality grabbed the eye of Assistant Superintendent of Immigration (ASI) Roland Abdul Aziz Issah, who at that point gave the data to the Tema Regional Command.
She said in a communitarian move by the migration officials from Assin Fosu and the Tema Regional Command, Forson and Harkman were gotten up Eight, Tema.
