The much politicized Eastern Corridor Road continues to feature in people’s daily conversations. Although some parts of the road work is receiving major attention, the portion of the road streching from Tambaligu to Bugri Corner has become a death trap.
Residents fear for the life of road users giving the deplorable state of the road. It is often submerged with rains and becomes too muddy and slippery after downpour.
Even though there has been cases of vehicular breakdowns and minor accident’s, resident expresses fear of more fatalities considering the bad state of the road.
In an attempt to get stakeholders attention on fixing the road is to no avail. This propel some residents of Tambaligu to mobilize themselves to spread gravels on the road.
It is important for government and other responsible stakeholders to give maximum priority to the road. For decades, the Bugri corner enclave is the leading producer of vegetables such as onions and for that matter the economic prospect of the road cannot be over emphasize.
This portion of the roads is located in the Bawku Municipality of the Upper East Region.
